Our products for pressure ulcers
“The initial care of pressure ulcers involves debridement, wound cleansing, the application of dressings, and possibly adjunctive therapy.”1
Pressure ulcer care involves a number of management strategies which include:1
- Debridement of necrotic tissue at each assessment of the wound
- Wound cleansing on initial inspection and at each dressing change
- Exudate control through appropriate dressings, providing a moist wound environment without damaging intact skin or macerating the ulcer bed
- Management of bacterial colonization and infection
