  • Nasogastric

    Pertaining to or involving the nasal passage and stomach. An “NG tube” is used to feed liquids or drain stomach fluids and air.

  • Necrosis

    Changes indicative of cell death.

  • Necrotizing Enterocolitis

    Intensive ulceration and necrosis (death of cells) of the ileum and colon in premature infants.

  • Nephrostomy

    Surgical creation of a permanent opening leading directly into the pelvis of the kidney.
