  • Maceration

    The act of softening by steeping or soaking. Maceration of the skin can lead to early tissue damage and irritation.

  • Malignant

    Applied to diseases that endanger life; tending to become progressively worse and to result in death.

  • Malodorous

    Ill smelling.

  • Mesentery

    Membranous fold attaching various abdominal organs to the body wall.

  • Metastasis

    Invasive process of malignancy.

  • Mucus

    The clear viscid secretion of the mucous membrane, consisting of mucia, epithelial cells, leukocytes and various inorganic salts suspended in water.
